Positive Feedback:
XACT S1 delivers on my vision of audiophile sound: natural, organic, with analog sophistication and lifelike imaging. It's hard to believe it's digital.
HiFI Advice:
the sound can be described as representing what is often aspired to as an "analog" reproduction. That is to say, the music flows freely, sweetly, and organically in a liquid manner without any mechanical or artificial nature and no hardness.
The XACT S1 sounds simply superb, and I cannot recommend it more highly.
High Fidelity:
Characterized by a slightly warm, dense and saturated sound. Its sound has a lot of energy, especially with hi-res files.
What's more, by shifting the accents to the lower midrange, by saturating the bass, by - finally - slightly withdrawing the treble, we get a sound with the tested transport, which many music lovers and audiophiles may even like more than the more precise, but less saturated sound.
Audiophile Style:
The XACT S1 Evo / N1 switch combination is a new favorite of mine. I've solidified my view that this combo is capable of reproducing pure sonic bliss and performing at the highest levels of this hobby.
